About our Thrift Store & Donation Center

Just across the street from Karns and the Hampton Shopping Center on the Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg is our 21,000 sq ft Thrift Department Store. Our store is the largest in Pa, and not what you would expect.  It is filled with over 75,000 items of Brand Name Clothing, Household, and Collectibles. Each day our store is restocked with over 5,000 new items!  Every Tuesday is Senior Day, 50% off most items; Wednesday is our soon to be famous "Community Day" with 50% off All items! The new place to shop Thrift is the New Community Aid Thrift Store, where shopping here, helps those in need here in our Community.

Our Drive-Thru Donation Center is open and ready to receive you tax deductible donations of clothing, household and just about any item that we could sell in our store. Donating here helps provide over 40 jobs for our community and supports local charities that you know and trust. Open M-S 9-7 Sun 12-6. Clothing Collection bins are 24/7 in the front of our store. Also our tan Bins are located thru-out our Communities, call us to find the closest location.

About Community Aid & Our Mission & Charity Partners

We are a Faith Based Non-Profit 501 (C) (3) Charity with the primary purpose of raising funds for distribution to local schools, churches, synagogues, temples and non-profit charitable organizations.

We aspire to serve our community by creating good paying jobs which provide on-site training and coaching for our neighbors. We desire to improve the quality of life for the individuals and families in our community by providing clothing and cash grants through our partner churches, and by offering items for resale at affordable prices that meet the needs of our economically challenged neighbors

We have prayerfully decided to partner with and support the following organizations Bethesda Mission, New Hope Ministries, Christian Churches United (Help Ministries), The Humane Society of Central Pa, and the Disabled American Veterans of Pa. We have an additional 13 partner Churches at this time and growing.

How you can Help us, Help our Neighbors in Need.

Community Aid is in need of Locations to place our clothing Collection bins. If you have a place of business, a church parking lot, or any where our clothing bin fits and the public can see it, you can help us to grow and meet our local community needs. We service our bins daily and take pride in the fact that we are a local charity, helping local people!  Please join us and call Glen Chandler at 717-418-9616, to discuss a possible collection bin site.
